TREVBUS was my engineering honours project at the ANU's Faculty of Engineering and Information Technology.

TREVBUS is Free Software published under the Gnu General Public License and written for GNU/Linux.

It uses the Real-Time  Streaming Protocol (RTSP). RTSP is an internet protocol which is used by QuickTime Streaming ServerRealPlayer and Danubio .

The software has been finished in time for TransACT's rollout in the Australian Capital Territory.

You can also read the Software Requirements Specification and Software Design Description . The thesis is here.It has a discussion of the organisational and legal aspects of the software's use, including an explanation of how live streams are exempt from Australia's internet censorship law.
