In order to get yourself on TV or radio,
you need to convince various gatekeepers to let you in.
This is because the barriers to entry are too high:
- You can't afford a broadcasting tower.
- You don't know how to operate a broadcasting tower.
- The Government won't give you a license to operate a broadcasting tower.
Even the advent of the internet has so far failed to enable ordinary citizens to get their message out using audio and video.
